White Wines
Riverwood 2010 Chardonel – Clean, crisp and bright!  This dry white wine made with Chardonel grapes from the 2010 harvest was aged in stainless steel tanks.  The Chardonel grape is a cross between the Chardonnay and Seyval grape varieties.  No oak was used in the aging process so the crisp citrusy flavor of the Chardonel grape shows through!  $15.95/btl $6.50/glass  Purchase

Riverwood 2011 Cayuga White – Made from 100% Cayuga White grapes grown in the Platte County wine country.  A semi-sweet wine with pale yellow hues, notes of pineapple and citrus, and crisp melon flavors.  This wine was not cold stabilized so you may find tartrate crystals in the form of sediment at the bottom of the bottle (known as “wine diamonds”) when the wine is subjected to cold temperatures.  The crystals are harmless -- indeed many who prefer minimally processed wines treat the presence of tartrate crystals as a sign of quality!  A nice wine with spicy Asian and Indian dishes, breaded pork cutlets or salty snacks (such as dry roasted peanuts!).  $14.75/btl   $5.50/glass Purchase

Riverwood Avid Apple – A crisp, semi-sweet apple wine made from a special blend of Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Fuji apples from Sibley Orchards in Sibley, Missouri.  Try this wine with foods that are traditionally paired with apples – perhaps a roast pork loin or a mild cheddar cheese.  $12.49/btl  $5.50/glass Purchase

Red Wines
Riverwood Reserve 2010 Chambourcin – The Chambourcin is a French/American hybrid grape that grows well in this part of the country.  This dry medium-bodied wine has a light red color and earthy oak aromas. The wine was aged in new Missouri oak barrels for four months and bottle aged for six months. The result is a soft smooth wine that pairs well with a wide variety of foods including roast turkey, lamb or beef dishes, or even pizza! $15.25/btl  $6.50/glass Purchase

Riverwood 2009 Cynthiana/Norton – Made from grapes grown on our vineyard location and from vineyards near Beverly in Platte County.  This deep red wine features aromas of dark cherry and hints of coffee and chocolate.  A full-bodied wine with a small amount of unfermented Cabernet Sauvignon juice for an additional element of flavor.  Aged with American oak chips for complexity and depth.  Pairs well with red meats, dark chocolate.  $15.75/btl $6.50/glass  Purchase 

Riverwood Buoyant Blackberry – Just picked flavor!  This new bottling of our blackberry wine has a hint more blackberry flavor and aroma than our previous version and is not quite as sweet.  Great as a dessert wine or after-dinner wine with chocolates or cheesecake!  $12.95/btl  $6.00/glass Purchase

Port-Style Wines
Riverwood White Eminence - A luscious white Port-style wine made with Chardonel as a base wine, fortified with grape spirits, and blended with a small amount of unfermented Gewurztraminer juice.  Eighteen percent alcohol by volume.  Wonderful with a small plate of spiced almonds and Parmesan cheese.  $19.49/btl $7.50/glass  Purchase

Chocolate Cherry Dessert Wine – Dark sweet red cherry wine with natural chocolate flavors added and fortified with grape spirits. Eighteen percent alcohol by volume.  Elegant chocolate and cherry aromas!  Serve with chocolate, caramel cake, caramelized nuts, or by itself!  $20.49/btl $7.50/glass Purchase
